Historic Route 66
Route 66 is one of the original highways within the US road network. It’s an iconic stretch of tarmac that originally ran a total of 2,448 miles from Chicago, Illinois, through Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona before ending at Santa Monica, California. But we’re not interested in it as a strip of asphalt that covers a bit part of America, but as a symbol of American freedom. Let’s take a look at some of the secrets of Historic Route 66.
