Currently the United States dollar bills come in the amounts of $1, $5, $10, $20. $50 and $100, but in the past bills came in the denominations of $500, $1,000, $5,000 and $10,000 for the public to use. The $10,000 note was used in the 1950’s but then was discontinued in 1969. Supposedly though there are still over 300 of these bills in circulation and are still considered legal tender.
